EMC`s first live briefing: OECD`s PISA results – Monday 2nd December 2013

The OECD has asked the Education Media Centre to host the release of the new PISA results.
Andreas Schleicher, the OECD`s Deputy Director for Education & Skills, will present the findings of this influential survey to an invited audience of journalists and others connected with the education media.This presentation will be followed by questions from the media.
The event, on the 2nd December 2013, is by OECD invitation only.
It will be the EMC`s first live briefing and a summary will be posted here afterwards, including analysis from experts in education research and PISA, in particular.
The EMC will also provide Breaking News Reactions to the PISA results which will be e mailed to the media and posted on this website.
PISA , the “Programme for International Student Assessment”, is a survey of the performance of the education systems in some OECD countries. The study, which ranks different nations, is based on testing knowledge and skills of 15 year olds in key subjects: reading, maths and science. The last survey was in 2010.
